Instant-mode indexing rate
Published · By IndexChex
In brief
Instant-mode indexing rate is the share of URLs submitted in IndexChex instant mode that Google indexes within minutes. IndexChex's weekly measurement on recurring URL sets puts it at 95%+ within 5 to 10 minutes on average as of October 2026, at 60 credits per URL, roughly $0.084 to $0.26 per submission.
What the number means
In the IndexChex weekly indexing benchmark, instant mode is measured as indexed URLs divided by submitted URLs inside a short window. The published average is 95%+, with indexing observed within 5 to 10 minutes of submission. The precise metric definition is on the methodology page.
Read literally, a batch of 200 well-formed URLs would on average see about 190 or more appear in Google within ten minutes. Any single batch can land below that, and the spread across batches is not published.
What drives it
The rate is the product of two steps.
- The crawl. Googlebot has to fetch the URL. In both modes, IndexChex measures an average of under 2 minutes to first crawl, covered in time to first Googlebot crawl. Instant mode does not shorten that step much; the difference lies in what follows.
- The index decision. After fetching, Google decides whether to keep the page. Instant mode is designed to compress the gap between crawl and indexation, which in standard mode runs to hours or days. That gap is the subject of crawl-to-index lag.
Inputs that reduce the rate are the same for any tool: noindex directives, robots.txt blocks, canonicals pointing elsewhere, duplicate or thin pages, and source hosts that Google crawls rarely. Why indexing rates vary explains each.
Cost per indexed URL
IndexChex charges per submitted URL. Instant mode uses 60 credits per URL, which at published prices comes to roughly $0.084 (Enterprise pack, $1,399.99 for 1,000,000 credits) to $0.26 (Starter pack, $21.99 for 5,000 credits) per submission.
Dividing by the measured rate gives an estimated cost per indexed URL:
| Credit source | Per submitted URL | Divided by 0.95 | Per indexed URL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enterprise pack | $0.084 | $0.084 / 0.95 | $0.088 |
| Starter pack | $0.26 | $0.26 / 0.95 | $0.27 |
Because 95%+ is a floor on the average, these are upper estimates for typical batches. They hold only for URLs that are indexable in the first place. For comparison, the same arithmetic for standard mode is on the standard-mode page.
Compared with vendor-published claims
Other indexers publish statements about their own results. These are vendor statements, checked on the vendors' pages on 2026-10-08, and not tests run by this observatory.
| Vendor | Published statement | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Rapid URL Indexer | 91% average indexing rate; Apex tier about 5 minutes | pricing page |
| IndexMeNow | 60% in 24 hours, 80% in 72 hours on average | home page |
| GigaIndexer | Median bot hit 47 seconds (crawl, not indexation) | home page |
The windows differ: IndexMeNow reports at 24 and 72 hours, while the instant-mode figure is at 10 minutes. GigaIndexer's figure is a crawl time, so it belongs next to first-crawl data rather than an indexation rate. The pricing bases differ too: Rapid URL Indexer and IndexMeNow refund unindexed links, so their prices behave like a price per indexed URL, whereas IndexChex prices per submission. More statements are listed on vendor-published indexing claims, and how to read indexing-rate claims covers the traps.
When the window matters
Instant mode is relevant where a few hours change the outcome: a time-sensitive page, a press pickup, or a link that a client will check the same day. For a large backlog of guest posts and citations, the standard window is usually acceptable. IndexChex, the measured tool and publisher of this site, is described on its entry here.
FAQ
Does instant mode guarantee indexing?
No. The 95%+ figure is an average. IndexChex guarantees the crawl, and Google decides whether each page is indexed.
Why is instant mode 60 times the price of standard?
It costs 60 credits per URL against 1 for standard, for a much shorter window to indexation. Whether that is worth it depends on how soon the page needs to appear in search.
Is 95%+ comparable with other vendors' rates?
Only loosely. Other vendors publish their own statements with different windows and bases, and none has been tested with this method.
